  • LEED Green Building Consultancy: LEED certification is a green building scheme leading by United State Green Building Council and is bringing an innovative perspective to building development in a sustainable manner. LEED has been the most widely used verification process for sustainable building over the World. SemTrio offers whole building assessment consultancy and management service to the clients to achieve the best level of certification with its highly experienced green building expert team.

  • The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process is a way to identify, predict and assess the type and scale of potential biodiversity impacts, and opportunities to benefit conservation, associated with any business activities or projects. Biodiversity assessment should begin as early as possible, as effective assessment of the biodiversity characteristics of an area — and the potential impacts — may require months or even years, to account for seasonal and migration issues. In addition, early attention to biodiversity issues means that potential impacts can be identified and avoided or mitigated in the earliest stages of planning. Once a project or business activity proceeds, the costs of redesign or re-siting will make it more difficult to effectively address biodiversity issues

  • GRI – Corporate Sustainability Reporting: By using the GRI Guidelines, reporting organizations disclose their most critical impacts – be they positive or negative – on the environment, society and the economy. They can generate reliable, relevant and standardized information with which to assess opportunities and risks, and enable more informed decision-making – both within the business and among its stakeholders. GRI reporting is designed to be universally applicable to all organizations of all types and sectors, large and small, across the world.

  • ISO 14064-1 Carbon Footprint Reporting: Corporate Carbon Footprint reporting is created according to The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard that provides standards and guidance for companies and other organizations preparing a greenhouse gas emission inventory. Carbon footprint reporting covers the accounting and reporting of the six greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol — carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs), per fluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6).
Carbon footprint studies help to understand the benefits of being more efficient in resource use, supply chain, manufacturing and effective

  • Eco Labelling: The EU Eco-label helps the companies identify products and services that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle, from the extraction of raw material through to production, use and disposal. Recognised throughout Europe, EU Eco-label is a voluntary label promoting environmental excellence which can be trusted.

  • Life Cycle Assessment: The concept of Life Cycle Assessment is to evaluate the impacts from any given material or activity which is gathered of raw materials from the nature until where all residuals are returned to the earth. Life Cycle Assessment is a tool to assess the environmental impacts and resources used throughout a product’s life cycle from raw material acquisition, via production and use phases, to waste management. LCA is a comprehensive assessment and considers all attributes or aspects of natural environment, human health, and resources. LCA studies are created and presented according to ISO 14040/44 guidelines.

  • Whole Building LCA Consultancy: In a LCA process; energy demand of the building, the embodied energy in building materials, the impacts from transportation and advantages of recycling are also evaluated. To achieve more credits in sustainable building certification such as LEED and BREEAM, LCA studies relevant to the building has been taken into consideration in LEED v4.0. Specifically, in Turkey where sustainable urbanism and redevelopment of neighbourhood projects have a big potential and are already in progress, Building LCA reporting is an essential part of being resource efficient and cost efficient.

  • Environmental Product Declarations: An EPD is based on the standard of ISO 14025 and conducted in accordance with LCA directives of ISO 14040/44 guidelines and EN 15804 norms for construction products. An EPD is created and registered in the framework of a programme, such as the International EPD® System and IBU. EPDs help to achieve better certification level and more extra credits for LEED, BREEAM, DNGB.
